 Just what I was hoping for, and so soft! February 1, 2010

EDIT 7/26/10: After almost 6 months of use, I still LOVE this case. No scratches, and no visible wear -- and believe me, I put this case through a LOT! The stitching is as solid and colorful as the day I bought it. The leather is just as soft and smooth. No problems at all from the magnet. I would not want any other case for my iPod touch.

I spent a lot of time researching covers for my new iPod 8gb 2g. I wanted a flip/folio cover so the screen would be well protected inside my purse. The cover folds back nicely when open without being bulky or cumbersome. There are openings for the light sensor, switches, buttons, and plug. I was worried about the magnet, but it has not caused any problem at all (I read somewhere that the type or size of magnet is important). The fit is perfect. The outside is so soft. The case, with its green stitching, is good quality and looks stylish.
The only negatives I can think of are 1) the leather is so soft that it has already gotten a tiny (hardly noticeable) scratch, and will likely get more from being in my purse; and 2) the edges of the cover come so close to the edge of the screen, it sometimes can be a little bit in the way, but very rarely, and not enough to bother me.
The belt clip is not an issue at all for me, as I never use the belt clip. It was not attached when I received my case, and I don't even notice the place on the back where it attaches. It's flush against the rest of the case, and almost looks like just part of the nice design.
I love this case, and I would absolutely buy it again over any other.

The case material is great, the cuts in the case for your port, volume buttons, earphone jacks and such are nicely placed and solid as well. So all in all, its a good layout / material
My gripes are with the belt clip, and the attachment to the back of the case FOR the belt clip.
The belt clip's release mechanisim is really tight, so you have to apply ALLOT of pressure to the button to get the ipod secured into the clip. Im hoping this wears down to "normal" pressure requirements in time, provided i have the case for that long. The up side is that once the ipod is secured in the clip, it stays in the position you put it in.
My other (and bigger) problem is with the plastic "wheel" that attaches the clip to the back of the case. You have to screw the wheel into the back of the case, and the screw itself is not much higher then the thickness of a nickel (so not a whole lot of height to the screw, for securing purposes) And even screwing the wheel in is a bit of a problem, because due to the length of the screw and the socket (on the back of the case) you have to screw into, you really have to apply hard pressure to both when you're putting it together(so stripping the socket or screw if you repeatedly take the 2 apart could be an issue as well). Otherwise, just trying to "casually" attach the plastic wheel to the back of the case results in the wheel just popping right back out at the slightest tug, not a good secure feeling for your $200+ piece of technology to ride on.
Given the price of this case, and the hard time ive had in finding GOOD ipod cases with rotary belt clips, eco-nique could have done much better in the clip and attachment regard. If they reformed the case, with the belt-clip attachment a permanent (and secure) part of the case itself, and fixed the spring-release pressure on the belt clip, this could very easily be a 5 star + product.

I sought this case because I have a similar case for my Palm Treo and wanted the same protection for my iPod touch. While I don't make a habit of dropping my iPod, when I do I no longer shriek like a madwoman. It's straight up good looking with that attractive green trim and because of this I generally see it immediately when I look into my handbag. It stays in the case when I am out and about, and I have easy access to all features. While the belt clip's a good idea, I don't believe I've ever felt the need to use it in that way. Instead, I wrap my headphones around it and tuck their ends under the big clip. With tax it's quite pricey and while I must admit I had some initial regrets about the cost, they soon dissolved. This baby has proven to be worth every penny! If I could add a feature, it would be the ability to prop itself up. The clip does this somewhat, but this thing is so nice you really just want to hold it!

I did a lot of research looking for a good case for my ipod touch. I reviewed and ordered several case. I think this is the best case around. It is made with extremely soft leather. The magnet that closes the leather cover works very well. It also has a swiveling belt clip that makes it easy to get to the screen during workout. Highly recommend it although it is more expensive than other cases.
